Police arrest two teens for making false reports

GAINESVILLE - Police have arrested two Gainesville High School students, charging each of the boys with making false emergency reports to 9-1-1 in separate cell phone calls made from the school.

According to Lt. Jeff Harris, police were called the school Tuesday afternoon following a call reporting a fight in which a student had been stabbed. When cops arrived, Lt. Harris says, they found there was no fight.

Police were able to trace the cell phone used in making the call a 15-year-old student was arrested and charged with making a false report of a crime. That investigation led to the arrest another student, a 16-year-old, who was charged with falsely reporting a fire on Cooley Drive onJanuary 26.
