Savannah cocoa processing plant closing

SAVANNAH - Archer Daniels Midland Co. announced Tuesday it was closing its cocoa processing plant in Savannah, eliminating 64 jobs.

The plant, acquired in 1997 from ED-and-F Man Company, produced cocoa butter and cocoa powder. Archer Daniels Midland, based in Decatur, Illinois, will continue to use the plant as a warehouse.
