The Red Ink Red Rabbit Wants More “Free Money”

By Gordon Sawyer Staff
Almost everybody knows times are tough. Certainly working folks and families know it. Small, local businesses are hanging on for dear life. Local banks are under pressure. The state is cutting its budget, even trimming services. So is the county. And, how much are our school systems cutting back? A lot. It is hard to miss the fact that times are tough all over.

But...wouldn’t you know it: the Red Ink Red Rabbit has found some of that free flowing lettuce that the current administration in Washington is spewing out like water from a fire hose, and “suggested” to the City Council that they okay the purchase of four new buses, and add one new route. Of course the city AND the county would have to divvy up more than $60,000 each...actually a total of $124,000 either from new tax money for you to pay, or take that money from other government services. And nobody has mentioned the added cost for drivers, gasoline and other maintenance items, which, I suppose, would also come out of the taxpayers’ pockets.

Our Democrat friends in Washington are throwing money around like the proverbial drunk sailor, and it appears to me the Red Ink Red Rabbit has caught that “bring home the bacon” swine virus right here to Hall County.
